Founded in Belgium by Tanguy Tourain and Julie Desmidt, this multidisciplinary atelier was shaped by years of experience in high-end residential and commercial projects. Their philosophy centers on artisanal production, pure materials, and respect for the natural character of each material.
Description:
Each unlacquered brass door pull is handcrafted with subtle variations in shape and size, making every piece slightly different while staying true to the same design language. Small differences of up to 2 cm are part of the natural process and reflect the individuality of each pull.
Finished with a light, natural oil, the surface has a soft layer of basic water-repellent protection that can easily be reapplied with a cotton cloth if desired. Over time, the brass will naturally develop a richer patina and tonal variation depending on touch, use, and environment. This is not considered a flaw, but rather a beautiful characteristic of unlacquered brass, one that the atelier fully embraces as part of the material’s evolving story.
Products or materials with higher acidity, or anything left on the surface for extended periods, may create markings over time, further contributing to the lived-in quality of the piece.
